The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment in healthcare occupations will increase by 15 percent between 2019 and 2029, adding more jobs than any other occupational group. Recognizing this, Pikeville Medical Center, as an integral driver of the region’s economy, spearheaded an initiative called Project HEART (Healthcare Employment Around Regional Training) to meet the growing need for a strong healthcare workforce.
